Pricing & terms

Xntric Designs is built around a simple idea: you shouldn’t have to write a six-figure check just to see if your app idea works. Instead of charging large upfront development fees, we work on a shared upside model.

Our model at a glance

  • No upfront development fees.
  • We design, build, launch, and maintain your app.
  • Profits are shared 50/50 between you and Xntric Designs.

How this compares to traditional development

A typical custom mobile app build can cost anywhere from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars up front, plus ongoing retainers for maintenance and improvements.

With Xntric Designs, we take responsibility for the build and ongoing care. You bring the idea, steer the product vision, and participate in the upside if the app gains traction.

Different app types, different value models

Not every app makes money in the same way. Some generate direct revenue through purchases or subscriptions. Others are free but help you retain customers, reduce support load, or make an existing service more valuable.

  • Revenue-generating consumer apps: For apps that earn money directly (for example, paid downloads or in-app purchases), the standard model is a 50/50 share of net profits between you and Xntric Designs.
  • Companion or business apps: If the app is free to users and acts as a companion to your existing services or products, we’ll discuss how the app creates value for your business (such as retention, engagement, lead generation, or efficiency) and agree on a compensation structure that makes sense for both sides.
  • Complex, support-heavy apps: For apps that are mission-critical or require higher-touch support, we may add specific terms around support expectations, response times, and how that work is recognized within the overall partnership model.

The goal is always the same: align incentives so that when the app succeeds, both you and Xntric Designs benefit fairly.

High-level partnership terms

These terms describe, in plain language, how our partnership works. The goal is to keep everything simple, fair, and aligned while making sure both sides understand the long-term expectations. A formal written agreement will include additional details, but this gives you a clear overview:

  • Ownership of the idea: You own the underlying concept, the brand, and the direction of the product. Xntric Designs owns the implementation we build and the technical assets required to maintain and evolve the app.
  • Revenue or value share: For revenue-generating apps, net profits are split 50/50. For companion or business apps that are free to users, we’ll align on a compensation model that reflects the value the app creates for your business—such as retention, engagement, lead generation, or operational improvements.
  • Support expectations: We define how critical the app is, how users are expected to get help, and what reasonable response times look like. Complex or support-heavy apps may include additional terms to ensure ongoing care is balanced and sustainable for both sides.
  • Product decision-making: You act as the product manager—prioritizing features, shaping direction, and making decisions about what supports the app’s goals. Xntric Designs advises on feasibility, complexity, and technical tradeoffs.
  • Maintenance & updates: Xntric Designs provides ongoing updates, bug fixes, improvements, and platform compatibility work. This ensures the app continues to function smoothly across new versions of iOS and Apple devices.
  • App Store presence: Apps are typically published under an Xntric Designs or Xntric LLC developer account for operational simplicity and faster review cycles, unless we mutually agree on a different arrangement.

Note: The details above are an overview, not a contract. A formal written agreement will define the exact revenue share, responsibilities, and any app-specific requirements before development begins.

Is my app idea a good fit?

We look for ideas that are:

  • Simple to describe in a sentence or two.
  • Useful to a clear audience or niche.
  • Realistic to ship as a focused first version.

If that sounds like what you have in mind, we’d love to hear about it.
